review first semester

Hello readers! I am so sorry for the delay. Super busy with hectic college life which explains why I dont really have time to write a post. This post was supposed to be the continuation of Singapore part 1 but nahhh.....I dont have the pictures with me. It will be quite dull and boring to write without pictures and that trip is so 2015!!

I decided to write again because im done with my first semester and currently having my 2 months break at none other than my home. I have a lot of things to share but first of all, let me tell you about my current college. I'm studying in UiTM Dengkil for foundation in science. Basically, it is a centre only for foundation studies, mainly for science, law, tesl and engineering.

I registered about five to six months ago (?) i think so, i cant really remember the exact date. The facility is soooooo goooddd i tell you, 100% satisfaction. Even though the dorm is quite small and compact but its okay because everything is new and practical. We are provided 2 shower per 6 students, that is beyond okay for a government college.

But one thing im quite upset is with the arrangement of our study area. I'll show you in my future post. I dont have my privacy, not at all. Plus i hate the fact that i have to deal with others' study style. Loud musics especially.

Since I am the only student from my previous high school who enrolled in foundation in science, can you imagine how nerve wrecking it was. and fun fact, this is my first time being metres away from home and alone by myself without friends. Few days before the registration day, i looked up for several dorm decoration ideas on youtube. That is the only way to comfort me.

Homesick? yes of course, who doesnt. I dont really missed the comfort-ness of my room and stuff, i missed my parents. There are times where i was studying and without even realising i was crying because i miss them so much ( i have to admit im such a weirdo)

The first week was our orientation week. More like kena-makan-nasi-in-3-minutes kinda week. Some of the seniors are good to us but some are not. I cannot accept how some of them handle the juniors. Come on we just registered kot, at least enlighten us in a good way instead of using harsh words. Woke up at 4 everyday throughout the week and mostly spend time listening to talks.

And that is the week where i almost cry seeing others with friends. I'm not good in making friends plus others are sticking with their high school friends. and i have none.

Moving on to the week where classes started. OH MY GOD. I was looking forward who might be my classmates and thousands of thoughts coming from mind. how am i gonna fit in etc. First class is super awkward and tbh sampai sekarang pun 😂 😂  Not forgetting the highlight of my first semester...... i freaking introduced myself as someone they can refer if they have any doubt in hukum hakam. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW HUMILIATING IT WAS? IM SO DUMB. I swear i regretted my whole life. That is the turning point of my college life, i guess.

The learning process is fine but i am still having hard time adapting. At the end of semester, i cant believe myself i covered like almost half of the thick textbook in 4 months (not to forget labs, weekly test and assignments orz)

I took 6 subjects; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English and Religious study. And my most favourite is maths which WAS MY LEAST FAVOURITE IN HIGH SCHOOL. Everything is completely different, i used to keen of chemistry and perform well in that subject but not anymore :( but overall i can still survive, see im breathing!!!! (Additional notes : results are coming out this 15th of November)

And those sports spirit i used to have during high school drop drastically. I didnt join any of the sports event organised throughout the semester, not even leisure activity which most of the students anticipate for the sake of coupons 😂   That explains how lazy i am.

That sums up my first semester for foundation! Cliche journey, nothing much. I hope it might help some of the upcoming juniors who have no idea what does foundation life looks like. 99 liner, if you are reading this. DO NOT WORRY, just go with the flow and good luck for the national exam this Monday! I hope you ace in your exam 😀

p/s: I might be doing a room tour when semester reopens, please look forward! :)

Regards,
sara.
