holiday tips+tricks

Hello there!

Finally, my blogging mood is here again after a few months from school break. But honestly this blog is in my draft for almost two weeks. I wish lazy emoji exist to describe how lazy am i these past two weeks. Two possibilities; i'm too busy or i'm too lazy. either one :p

Actually, I officially ended my high school life December last year. And its' been almost 5 months i've spent my day and night at home. Since i've been through a very loonnng holiday, i've been thinking of sharing some holiday tips + ideas here.

Holiday may bring two things, a good one or a bad one. As for mine, i've experienced both during this super long period. The good one is; I AM NOW AN ENTREPRENEUR! I dreamed to be one when i was still in primary. I can still remember i bought a blue long book to be used as a menu for my virtual ice cream shop called "First Scoop".

I find it so cute and adorable i'm not sure why. If only i have the book with me now. Im not sure wether i misplaced it or its already in the recycle center to be recycled or even worst it may be in the dump site a few years ago :( because i moved into a new house before, so i think i might throw it away during the spring cleaning. possibilities = 99.99%

The idea of opening an online store is when i was doing nothing at home after i ended my SPM last year. Eat, sleep, pray and repeat. Seeing all my friends were employed and having the own income kind of inspires me to be like them. But, im not capable to work with companies especially job with shift. so i decided to work from home instead! After researching through the market and the product which are currently trending and on high demand here in Malaysia, i've decided to launch a hijab&scarves store. Feel free to visit and dont forget to hit the follow button as well :)

And the bad one, i've wasted my time for useless & crappy things. How i wish i can turn back time.

Ok back to the main point, i will be listing several things that i've done during my holidays that i think it might be useful for other students as well :)

1) Reading

I do not enjoy reading as much as i enjoy eating but in rare cases I will read books or graphic books when I have nothing to do during the night before i sleep. I have a lot of books collection because i love buying books but i dont read it :p If a typical adult book with tiny font is too boring for you then find an alternative. Buy comics, magazines or purchase any e-books online!

2) Work

Apart from gaining working experience, you might also be able to generate your own income! Its true that money isnt everything but its super hard to live without money. Everything is overpriced now regardless where you live. Honestly after i started doing my business, i never overspent because i know how hard it is to even gain a dollar. (not applicable whenever i buy food > <)

3) Workout

You dont really have to have your own daily workout routine or working out at the gym. Just a simple dance step at home will shake off your fat away (if only you have a great consistency :p)

4) Mastering new skills

I started to learn how to use photoshop and others editing software because i really need to know how as i am currently managing an online store. The first ultimate step to win customer's heart is through their visual. Dari mata jatuh ke hati gitu :p The images and editing skills must be very good to get a great sale! Besides, there are thousands of other skills to be tried during your leisure time, drawing, sewing, stitching, cooking, learn music instruments and many more.

5) Babysitting

Babysitting is a really great way to test your patience because handling babies and kids AINT EASY. But luckily, i was handling my nieces and nephews along with my other siblings. So it wasnt really a bad idea after all!

6) Travelling

You dont have to spend a lot of money traveling over the globe. It doesnt have to be overseas all the time. If you enjoy shopping and living in Kuala Lumpur, try and spend more time shopping in other urban states such as Penang. If you are more to nature and floral, Sabah and Langkawi Island is a highly recommended place for you to go!

7) Journalling

I started to write journal when I was 6 years old with a super bad english and crooked handwritting :p Back then my journal was just a simple plain notebook decorated with cute Disney's stickers. The 2016 version, i have upgraded my journalling skills with more sketches, washi tapes and stamp :) Since its quite pricey, try not to over decorate your journal with tapes and not to buy expensive journal book. Add more sketches and stamping! I bought my journal for only RM12.00 at my favorite book fest, BIG BAD WOLF. and those tapes are only for RM5.00 for about 6 tapes at MR.DIY, my favorite store as well.

8) Retail Therapy

As a girl, this is compulsory! But I prefer spending all my money for stationaries rather than buying clothes. If i ever buy a blouse or any clothes, i will end up regretting buying it when i reached home > < Even though I've spend approximately RM200+ to expand my stationary collection during this long holiday, but its all worth it! I love seeing my babies on my shelves and organizers :-)

9) Gain weight

................................ its all depends on you, your weight. This is just my personal idea :p

10) Academic Planning

Identify your passion and interest. Try any online career test, identify where you want to be 10 years from now, which college offers the best academic programme etc. As for me, i just ended my spm, so i'll take some time to write down my future plans, starts searching or applying any scholarships.

So finallleeeehhh we've come the the end of the post! I really hope you enjoy reading through my post. and i hope it helps and benefits you in any way. If you ever find it boring, please do not hesitate to leave a comment. I'll try to improve my writing skills in future! Have a great holiday and please make full use of your time!

Regards,
sara.
